Leatherface "Beerpig" EP 1990

Leatherface "Beerpig" EP 1990 (Meantime COX EP 3)

MP3 (VBR), 4 tracks ripped from vinyl, RAR with complete artwork scans (25,4 MB), RS

The Boat's very first EP. It has been recorded and released after the "Cherry Knowle" album on Meantime, though. The record was engineered by Ian McKay (not to be confused with Ian McKaye of Fugazi), who had also worked with HDQ before. Quite surprisingly they put their Elvis cover of "In The Ghetto" (written by Mac Davis) on record again, this time in a much rougher version, which can be found nowhere else. Same goes for "Candle", both songs are not included on the 1998 "Discography Part Two" compilation (Rejected Records). The latter song is a cover of Elton John's 1973 tribute to Marilyn Monroe "Candle In The Wind" with lyrics by Bernie Taupin (not the 1997 Lady Di version, of course). Some of the titles vary on the labels: "In The Ghetto", "All I Wanted" and "Candle In The Wind".

"For the last twenty years we've had the same love song and for all of that twenty years I've known what's wrong..."

  1. Ghetto

  2. All I Need

  3. Here Comes The Judge

  4. Candle

...Thirteen "Girls Aren't The Same" / "Teddy Boy" 7" 1979

...Thirteen "Girls Aren't The Same" / "Teddy Boy" 7" 1979 (RCA, PB-4501)

MP3 (VBR), 2 tracks ripped from vinyl, RAR (11 MB), RS

British Mod Revival band from 1979 in a dutch pressing. It's rather hard to gather information about them, even The ModPopPunk Archives don't have that much to offer. (The picture sleeve shown there is not from the dutch issue.) The record is also listed on discogs.com. Enjoy!
